Soul Journey - Art Supplies List

Below you’ll find the required, recommended and optional materials (“magical extras”) for Soul Journey. You can purchase these at your local art store or online.
I’ve included specific brands and links for materials I personally work with — these are recommendations, not obligations. Use what you already have whenever possible.
Core Supplies
-
3 Canvases: Each at least 50 x 50cm - 60-60 cm (20 x 20 in - 24 x 24 inches). It can be any shape - does not need to be a square. You can go bigger if you would like. I generally recommend going a little beyond your comfort zone. I generally use 60x80cm, or even bigger.
-
Canvas quality matters: You can use any brand, but if you want a noticeably better painting surface, choose Italian-made canvas over Chinese-made.
-
Acrylic Paints: Include both opaque and transparent paints. Get white in both. Start with primaries (red, blue, yellow), and add colors that light you up. its recommended not to get the cheapest brand, but you do not need the most expensive.
-
My favorite personal brand: Amsterdam
-
My personal favorite Amsterdam colors: Prussian Blue Pthalo, Pthalo Green, Permanent Blue Violet, Magenta, Turquoise, Sky Blue Light, Gold, Earthy, Pinks, Azo Orange, and any earth tones.
-
Brushes: A mix of flat, round, and detail brushes. Recommended 5-10, minimum 4 brushes - ranging from very small to very large.
-
Palette: Reusable palette or disposable palette paper.I use reusable palette paper because I have no patience to clean my palette.
-
Metal Palette Knife: At least one metal knife; I recommend getting a few sizes.

Rag, Paper Towel, and a pack of Baby Wipes
