"Woven Together"

This inspirational series began as a way to share the story of my spiritual journey, piece by piece.

When different colors, shapes, and textures come together, it is universal oneness.

This painting was inspired by a woven piece I made, my first time on a loom. The process was so relaxing and intuitive. I loved the way the colors interlocked and melded together. I loved the patterns and the textures. I became one with this process and what it represents.

It represents unity, yet individuality. Each puzzle piece unique and part of the whole. Each strand woven to the next.

Whatever we may call it, there is something that weaves us all together. Since the beginning of time, and beyond time, we came from a single point.

Beyond the surface, there is always so much more than the eye can tell. When we look deeper, there is a complex web of connections; and within that space, we begin to understand that our similarities are even stronger than our differences.

Our past is what holds us together.

We are made of different colors, shapes, and textures, but together we create one entity.

It expresses the need to look beyond the color of one’s skin, the shape of one's body, the texture of one's home, even beyond one's political opinions to realize how connected we are and that we are all brothers and sisters.

In our chaotic world of religions, racism, viruses, and politics, we must fight to stay together. We must fight to protect justice and portray the significance and immense power of LOVE and UNITY.
