An Elul Painting Journey — Preparing for Rosh Hashanah

Elul is a season for cheshbon hanefesh — an honest look at where we've been, what we're ready to release, and who we're becoming in the new year.

In this live, guided session, we'll use meditation, reflection, and intuitive painting to explore letting go, returning to our natural state, and making space for what wants to emerge.

You do not need to consider yourself an artist. All parts of you are welcome — the lights and the darks, the whole full spectrum. This is a space to listen inward, and return.

Suggested Supplies:

I will be using acrylic paint on canvas and I recommend using paint and canvas as well.

If you want to be more expressive, I recommend using a canvas that is bigger than you are comfortable with. For this masterclass something 40x40 or 50x50cm (20x20 inches).

In a pinch, you can use any materials that feel good to you—from markers in a sketchbook to paints on paper or canvas. Just keep in mind that paper can get wet quickly with paint so you may want to make a few.

Example Painting setup:

A water bucket and towel/paper towels
A range of paint colors and brush sizes
Paint Markers
A few images to use as inspiration
Some random objects I love using to make unique marks
A few stencils for texture and play
You will also see me using Aquarelle Neo Color II water-soluble crayons (one of my favorite tools!)

Hi, I'm Avigail

I'm a painter, teacher, and guide. My work weaves together intuitive painting, Jewish mysticism, and abstract expression.

For years, painting has been my sacred practice, the place where I process emotion, access inner guidance, and reconnect to something larger than my thinking mind.

I teach women around the world to do the same, not by copying my style, but by finding their own.

My courses and workshops are built on a simple belief: your creativity is not a talent you either have or don't. It's a channel. And it can be opened.
